““This is where I want to be. A life with you is the endgame. Anything else along the way is just a bonus.”
I will start by saying that I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank so much Luci for sending a copy my way!
This is a sequel; I will try and keep my review as spoiler free as possible but just be wary if you haven’t read first book, What Happens on Tour.
Abandoned Bygone had finally broken the charts, and with the heightened success came notoriety I had often dreamt about. Becoming famous later on in our journey afforded us the maturity to navigate the media-induced storms more clearly. My band and the songs became the beating heart within me. We found the ability to speak strongly through our music and inevitably emerged as industry leaders. Our renown grew broader, and so did our smiles. It was what we worked so hard for. And, as our fans pulsed around us, we became electric… a frenzy of action ~ Brax ~

Step back inside the world of Tour Series… Don’t be scared!
I
forgot just how much I missed being in this world! I adore this crazy group of characters. International Tour has all the banter and tour shenanigans. Abandoned Bygone is this quirky found family. I adored that Chester and Liam found their significant others who fit in perfectly.
Abandoned Bygone has finally found success and is hitting the charts after years of working hard to hone their craft. It’s a year from their highly successful Regional Australian Tour. The band’s invited on a six-week tour with Canadian rock band Glaze. Abandon Bygone is hoping this tour will break them into the international music charts. The band are on a high and excitement is in the air, but Charlie’s past trauma is thrown in her face when she bumps into Calvin. Despite the healing she went through in the first book, is she ready to fully confront her past? Is Brax ready to learn the full extent of what she went through?
Charlie and Brax are in a good place in their relationship. Things do get shaky for them when they keep bumping into Calvin in Canada. It takes a while for Charlie to fully explain the extent of her history with Calvin and her trauma, which makes perfect sense since her dad never believed her when she explained what was happening. Brax is honestly the sweetest. I adored how protective he was of her whenever Calvin was around and how comfortable he made her when she was processing her trauma. Honestly, Brax is an A+ Book Boyfriend. Calvin is slimy. I adore how Brax and Charlie’s Dad finally put Calvin in his place. After the event in What Happens On Tour, it warmed my heart to see Charlie’s Dad stand up for Brax and Charlie’s relationship and we get to see Charlie and her dad’s relationship start to heal.
Most of this book is spent exploring Charlie’s pregnancy, which is not my favourite, but it was handled well. We went from dealing with the surprise of the pregnancy and being unsure if they wanted to start a family right away to going through all the required appointments and decorating their nursery. My heart swooned with how excited Brax was about having kids. He was all in from the get-go and it was refreshing to see that Charlie was the one who was unsure.
My all-time favourite thing about this series is how much music and touring heavily feature in this story. This, for me personally, is something I love and is one of the main reasons I am drawn to the rockstar romance trope. Alongside the tour, we get to see Brax collaborate with Glaze, recording sessions and even a music award event. I did wish we got a touch more international touring. It would’ve been awesome if they went to Europe since they were already in Canada. But loved that the band finally ended in Melbourne. Love that the long ass drive from Tullamarine Airport added to the tension the emergency Brax finds himself in.
Abandoned Bygone might be my favourite found family unit. These characters are just full of personality. They feel so real and like musicians I’ve met. Their banter had me laughing and I love the ton of Aussie slang thrown in here. I am obsessed with the fact this book is set in Australia since I haven’t found that many romances that are.
International Tour was a fantastic instalment in this series. I am beyond excited to read the next book, The Final Tour, as we are getting another Australian Tour! If you love a rockstar romance which heavily features music and has all the found family vibes, this series is for you.
