Hello,
Welcome to another stat filled quarterly check-in. I am amazed at just how quickly 2024 is going. I’ve been granted a number of ARCs, which I am super thankful for, and that does mean I’ve posted on here more frequently than I have in years.
To celebrate the end of the quarter, I am bringing the pie charts back! Yay for charts!
These stats look at all the books I’ve read in January, February & March. While I read them in 2024 not all the books have been released in 2024.

I am thrilled with I’ve made with my Around the World in 52 book challenge. Like always I am not sure if I will finish this challenge but it’s fun to come up with books for each prompt.
With all the ARCs I’ve been receiving I haven’t been prioritising finishing series or reading books of my physical TBR. For the next quarter I am going to limit the number of ARCs I request and bring back the Wheel of Sequels and maybe do a 24 book to read in 2024 TBR Wine Glass to get through these challenges.

This has been a fantastic start to the year. I’ve read a lot of books and adored the majority of them. I gave 13 books a 5 stars rating, 11 received 4.5 stars rating, 14 have received 4 stars and 2 have received 3.5 stars.
I will say that I am been rereading the books in The Mate Games: Death whenever the newest audio arc hits my emails so this will be skewing my 5 star stats.
My average rating is 4.4 stars.

Here are my 5 star reads from January, February & March!

This has to be the most diverse my reading has been in a while since the last few quarters it’s just been a majority romance, paranormal and fantasy. I am enjoying seeing that I got to some short stories and nonfiction this quarter.
This year I’ve decided to create a new genre category and have separated fantasy and fantasy romance so it will be interested to see how many fantasy books I will pick up.
To break the genres down, I have read 16 paranormal book, 10 romance, 10 fantasy romance, 2 nonfiction, 1 short story collection and 1 mythology book.

Wow this is just the saddest pie char I’ve ever seen. Out of 40 books I read this quarter only 1 of them was a YA title.
I am hoping next quarter I can pick up some more middle grade and YA titles because I have a ton of books in these age categories on my shelves and it would be nice to read some books I’ve already own. I also think there are some YA series on my shelves I’m halfway through so would be nice to finish those.

This might just be my favourite pie chart ever. Who is she? And not her prioritising and reading all the ARCs she was given. I am stupidly proud of this and thrilled that I was able to read and review nearly all of them to the agreed timeframe.
To no one’s surprise audiobook are my next biggest piece of the pie. With my chronic pain/illness and how busy work has been, audiobooks are a great way for me to consume books. I am in love with this format.
My guilt for not getting to my physical TBR is still here with me, riding at an all time high. My TBR jar is helping to get some of the physical books that have been on my TBR forever but there is also a ton of KU and audio tiles in there so it is a real lucky dip.
I read a total of 5 physical books (3 paperbacks and 2 hardbacks) and 35 digital books (6 eBooks, 14 audiobooks and 15 eARCs).

No surprise to see that I’ve read more series book than standalone since a lot of the genres I read tend to read more series. I am loving seeing that I’ve read way more sequels than first books in a series. I was a little worried we were going to see more first books given that a lot of the review copies I recieved were for first books in a series. I didn’t fully get to a whole month of reading sequels but am looking forward to adding one in next quarter.
I read 39 series books (13 first books and 21 sequels) compared to 6 standalones.

That’s all for me. Comment down below and let me know how you’re reading challenges are going and what books were your favourite this quarter/
Until next time, happy reading
