“I think if it was perfect, it wouldn’t feel real. And I really want it to be real.”

I will start by saying that I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. These opinions are my own. Thank you so much to Eliana for sending a copy my way!

She’s resigned to being single.
They’re on a mission to change her mind.

Ivy Noelle Winter is content with being a 31-year-old unbonded omega with no prospects of a pack. She adores teaching fifth grade, she has wonderful friends — and that baking show marathon isn’t going to watch itself.

Until a snowstorm and power outage traps Ivy in her classroom after hours…with three men.

Rome, the new alpha music teacher.

James, the flirtatious beta vet he’s bonded to.

And Logan, the town’s grumpy alpha electrician.

Their scents call to Ivy and her body answers, setting off her first-ever mini heat. When the pheromones settle, she gets a proposition beyond her wildest dreams — a chance to be a pack.

But there’s no such thing as a perfect courtship, especially when the biggest roadblock to happiness might be Ivy herself.

Okay, it’s official. I will read anything Eliana Lee writes. A Pack for Winter was such a joy. I adore the build-a-pack dynamic. The real focus is on these four people trying to navigate their new romance while navigating the pressure from their jobs. It is also perfect for the festive season. So, if you are looking for a Christmas omegaverse, this one is for you.

Ivy Winter’s job consumes her life. She is a teacher and adores teaching the fifth grade. Outside of work, she has a wonderful group of friends, a supportive family and a slight obsession with a cozy baking show. Ivy is content with her life as an unbonded omega and with no prospects of finding a pack. Until a power outage caused by a snowstorm causes her to rush back to the school in the middle of the night to check her class fish are still alive. Her fish are alive. All is going well until she’s trapped in her classroom with three men and a mini-heat hits. Rome, James, and Logan’s courtship proposal shocks Ivy when the heat haze lifts. Her scent calls to them. They are determined to build a pack and woo Ivy. The only real thing standing in their way is Ivy.

Ivy is the quiet girl of the omega group. She is a people pleaser and has a bad habit of letting her job consume her. She is always going above and beyond for her students and other teachers. It broke my heart watching people shove extra work her way because they know Ivy has always done it and that it’s no stress for her. I related so much to Ivy as I’ve been that person who’s done too much for a job and has that nasty fallout that this high level of performance is now expected of you. She lives in a near-constant state of burnout. While a touch rocky, I’m so glad the guys are there to help care for her and force her to take a step back and look after herself.

I adore the pack dynamic. Rome, Alpha, and James, Beta, have recently moved to Starlight Grove and are in a committed relationship. Rome is Ivy’s school’s new music teacher. James is a vet. The pair have the biggest hearts and are excited to create a pack. Logan is Alpha and has grown up in Starlight Grove. He’s a reserve and keeps to himself, especially after the death of his mother. He’s also a plus-size hero and is a little self-conscious about his size. I adored that Rome and James warmly included him in the pack and took the time to get to know him. I love their group chat banter and their video game nights. Also, shout out to James, who can navigate the alpha instincts to check Ivy’s okay with everything that’s happening.

All the characters are in their 30s, which I love and is so refreshing for a romance. They have different priorities for their relationship. They are all established in their careers and are looking to settle down and start a family. So, while this is a goal for their relationship, we don’t have any pregnancy in this story—it’s there in the bonus epilogue if you would like to read it.

This book is sex-forward, with the Rome, James and Logan helping Ivy through her heat during the first handful of chapters. What follows is a series of sweet courtship dates, which comically end up poorly but lead to a swoony romance. I adore watching the group navigate their relationship while battling work pressures and their own insecurities. It makes their HEA extra sweet.

And let’s not forget about Felix. The poor thing is really working overtime to get Ivy, Logan, James and Rome together. I adore seeing how he meddles to make these stubborn people realize they are meant to be together.

Honestly, it’s safe to say that I adored everything about A Pack for Winter. The next books in the series will not be out till 2026. This series includes interconnected standalones, so never fear you will get all of Ivy’s story. Safe to say, I will reread this one when I need a cozy pick-me-up. I am fully obsessed with this world and these characters.
