Waiting on Wednesday | Capturing the Devil

Today I thought I join in Waiting on Wednesday. Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme that originally created by Jill at Breaking the Spine but has since been adapted with Can’t Wait Wednesday by Teresa at Wishful Endings.

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly feature that showcases upcoming release that we are dying to get to!

Capturing the Devil (Stalking Jack the Ripper#4) by Kerri Maniscalco

Capturing the Devil

Published by:JIMMY Patterson

Publication date: 10 September 2019

Audrey Rose Wadsworth and Thomas Cresswell have landed in America, a bold, brash land unlike the genteel streets of London they knew. But like London, the city of Chicago hides its dark secrets well. When the two attend the spectacular World’s Fair, they find the once-in-a-lifetime event tainted with reports of missing people and unsolved murders.

Determined to help, Audrey Rose and Thomas begin their investigations, only to find themselves facing a serial killer unlike any they’ve heard of before. Identifying him is one thing, but capturing him—and getting dangerously lost in the infamous Murder Hotel he constructed as a terrifying torture device—is another.

Will Audrey Rose and Thomas see their last mystery to the end—together and in love—or will their fortunes finally run out when their most depraved adversary makes one final, devastating kill?

Why I can’t wait to read this

I have mixed feelings about this book. I’m so excited to get my hands on the Audrey and Thomas’ next adventure but also I’m sad that it will be the last one.

I’m normally not a fan of mystery novels, but I love Audrey and Thomas and they are really who draw me into the story. Their banter keeps me laughing and watching their relationship unfold has my heart swooning.

I love how Maniscalco is able to use the mythology surrounding famous killers to create her stories. For this final instalment she heading to Chicago and taking on America’s first serial killer, H.H. Holmes.

That’s it for me. Comment down below and let me know which books release date you cannot wait for.

Until next time, happy reading!
