Hello,
Welcome to another stat filled quarterly check-in. It is super delayed like waay more delayed then I expected but life happened. This year is zooming on by and I’m just doing my best to keep up with my ARC reads and posting on Youtube since this quarter I’ve branched out to another social media channel and I’m having so much fun!
To celebrate the end of the quarter, I am bringing the pie charts back! Yay for charts!
These stats look at all the books I’ve read in April, May & June. While I read them in 2024 not all the books have been released in 2024.

I am thrilled with I’ve made with my Around the World in 52 book challenge. Like always I am not sure if I will finish this challenge but it’s fun to come up with books for each prompt.
With all the ARCs I’ve been receiving I haven’t been prioritising finishing series or reading books of my physical TBR. For the next quarter I am going to limit the number of ARCs I request and bring back the Wheel of Sequels and maybe do a 24 book to read in 2024 TBR Wine Glass to get through these challenges.

This has been a fantastic start to the year. I’ve read slightly more books than last quarter. I am beyond thrilled that the lowest star rating I gave was 3 which is still a goof, fun read in my mind. I gave 8 books a 5 stars rating, 19 received 4.5 stars rating, 14 have received 4 stars, 2 have received 3.5 stars and 1 recieved 3 stars.
My lowest rated book was Fatkini by Monica Ross which was a fun contemporary, why choose romance with plus size rep. The romances were a little insta lust but I had fun and would be interested in continuing in the series
My average rating is 4.4 stars.

Here are my 5 star reads from April, May & June!

No surprised that majority of my reads were fantasy romance given that I took part in a two month fantasy romance readathon. Romance and paranormal are always going to round out my three genres since they are my favoruites. I am enjoying seeing that I got to a few other genres including some nonfiction and mythology this quarter.
To break the genres down, I have read 18 fantasy romance books, 13 paranormal, 10 romance, 1 fantasy, 1 nonfiction and 1 mythology book.

I thought last quarter’s pie chart was sad but this is sadder. I have stopped chuckling to myself whenever I see it. Out of 44 books I read this quarter 44 of them were written for and adult audience.
Lets see if I can get to some more YA and Middle Grade next quarter but I’m not going to stress myself out if I don’t get to any.

I am thrilled to announce that I am still prioritising my ARC reads. I am getting a little, tiny bit stressed that I am missing release dates and I am behind on writing reviews but I’ve had a pain flare up which has thankfully passed so I can now get my shit together and write some reviews. Watch this space for a review blitz.
To no one’s surprise audiobook are my next biggest piece of the pie. I am in love with this format, they make getting to reading easy especially now that I’m walking home from work.
My guilt for not getting to my physical TBR is still here with me, riding at an all time high. For any upcoming readathons, I am trying to built my TBR from the books I own
I read a total of 5 physical books (3 paperbacks and 2 hardbacks) and 39 digital books (10 eBooks, 18 audiobooks and 11 eARCs).

I am continuing to read more series books than standalone. I’m not loving that this quarter we’ve read way more first books then sequels. I do blame — well not blame but I can’t think of another work — the Summer Romantasyathon because I did start like 16 series during that challenge. I will be squeezing in some reading sequels months for the end of the year.
I read 39 series books (22 first books and 14 sequels) compared to 8 standalones.

That’s all for me. Comment down below and let me know how you’re reading challenges are going and what books were your favourite this quarter/
Until next time, happy reading
