I love a circus-themed book. If there’s a circus, I will add it to my TBR. So, when I saw R.K. Pierce announce Three Ring Heat: Part 1, a dark omegaverse set in a circus, you best believe I signed up so fast! I had the best time. I’m dying for Part 2 because after that ending I need to know what’s going to happen to Arina now. And will Revel, Zero, Night and Daze be her salvation or her ruin?
Arina is on the run. She, with the help of her late mother, has been hiding her designation with suppressants. The suppressants gave her freedom and a plan for what she wanted to do with her life. Until her father sold her to a pack of alphas, she escaped, but she needs to find a place to hide. When she comes across the caravan of performers from The Knotty Sideshow, it seems like the perfect choice and really the only choice to escape a forced bond. So Arina has run away with the circus. She can lay low until the caravan reaches a city where an unmated omega can safely escape. However, the stars of the troupe, Revel, Zero & Night, are the sexy, sinister alphas who might be more dangerous than the ones she’s on the run from. Oh yeah, and the most unhinged of the lot is Arina’s scent match. Cue the drama!
Arina is terrified and on the run from the pack who bought her and the secrets of her escape. She is so tense. Trying her best not to draw attention to herself so she doesn’t get kicked out of the circus. Thank god for Daze, our sweet Beta. The pair are so sweet. I adore them. They are each others safe, happy place.
Who doesn’t love an unhinged alpha? Revel, Zero & Night are all kinds of unhinged. I am not sure how Zero is going to come back from the shit he just pulled, but if there’s a grovel in his future, it better be big. It will be interesting to see how their pack dynamics play out since, while they live and work together, they aren’t exactly friendly.
If you love omegaverse and don’t mind taking a walk on the dark side, I highly recommend Three Ring Heat: Part 1! I flew through this one as I couldn’t put it down.
