“I do not seek war, but I will answer it.”
I will start by saying that I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for Infernal Passion. Thank so much Luci for trusting me with this project!
Adam made a world where men are gods and women are warnings.
But Lilith was never meant to kneel.
She returns not to forgive, but to set the record alight—dragging divine lies into the flames with Lucian, the Morningstar, at her side.
Together, they turn passion into retribution… and make the gods remember why they feared her first
If you know me, you know I love paranormal romance, so when Luci mentioned she was writing a retelling of Lilith, where she clears her name. I said gimme! I need. And this was pure perfection. If you need a book to channel all that rage you feel at the state of the world, and what feels like women’s rights are being rolled back, Infernal Passions is 100% for you.
Adam has made the world in the image he wants. One where men are gods and women are an afterthought. Lilith has kept to herself since leaving the Garden. However, Adam is put to his old tricks again and this time has his eyes set on Lilith. Lilith has never knelt to Adam and she sure as hell isn’t going to do so now. This time, Lilith refuses to stay silent. She will set the record straight and show the world the monster hidden behind Adam’s media-worthy smile. With Lucian, the Morningstar, by her side, the world will remember why they ever feared her.
There is something utterly captivating and intoxicating about Lilith claiming her voice. Her rage is white-hot and universal. I adore her. She has nothing left to lose and will throw everything she can into this war. Lilith is power. She never once instigates anything, but she will end it.
Give it up for my man Lucian. Did he fuck up? Yes. Does he grovel? Hell yes. I love how he stands up Lilith’s side, supporting her, but he never oversteps or overshadows her. Will he obliterate anyone who dares harm her? Yes. But he won’t be the one to take away her voice *insert swoon*. We love a man who learns from his mistakes.
I don’t think I’ve hated a character as much as Adam in a long time. In this modern setting, he has a slimy vibe of any tech-bro billionaire. Every time he was on the page, I just wanted to scream. Nothing beats the audacity of this white man.
I love the insight we get into the wider world as the war brews. We see other creatures affected by Adam’s megalomaniacal crusade. I am begging Luci for another book, especially if it follows Selene!
