Hi again! I’m here with my November book haul. And I can’t believe it is the end of the year all ready – scary stuff. This is part one of what could possibly be a 3 part book haul – obviously I brought a lot of books. The others are the blame of my library for having secondhand/ex-library book sales. I’m not ashamed of the amount of book I got, more proud of the bargains I found (2 boxes of books for $14 each!).
Anyway this will mostly be pretty picture with random reasonings for why I got some of these books.
On to the books! They are listed in no particular order.
The Constant Princess ~ Philippa Gregory
Blondel’s Song ~ David Boyle
This one is the only non-fiction I got this month and was a present from my boyfriend for our anniversary. It’s about medieval England and a Plantagenet King – Richard the Lionheart – which is all the things I love. He knows me too well.
The Bachman Books ~ Stephen King
I have been collecting Stephen King books for a while now – yet to read one – and picked up this collection mostly for the first story, Rage. This is because this story is banned and no longer published as it was found in the possession of multiple school-shooting shooters. So I’m curious and want to read it.
The Three Musketeers ~ Alexander Dumas
The Handmaid’s Tale ~ Margaret Atwood
I wanted to read something, anything by Margaret Atwood and the wonderful Jen Campbell recommended this book as the perfect starting place. Sooo I brought it.
Neverwhere ~ Neil Gaiman
The Assassin’s Blade ~ Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Thorns and Roses ~ Sarah J. Maas
I was lucky enough to meet Miss Sarah J. last week at her Melbourne signing. I can’t wait to get to this series
Daughter of Smoke and Bone ~ Lani Taylor
Virgin Widow ~ Anne O’Brien
Taliesin ~ Stephen Lawhead
Sasha ~ Joel Shepherd
The Tale of Despereaux ~ Kate DiCamillo
I brought this one purely for nostalgia. This was a book I read over and over again as a child and I wanted to re-read it.
The Heir of Night ~ Helen Lowe
Vixen ~ Roses Garland
Assassin’s Apprentice ~ Robin Hobb
I picked this one up after watching Samantha, from Novels and Nonsense’s, Robin Hobb Author Spotlight video. I know how much she loves Hobb and I can’t wait to dive into this world.
Warbreaker ~ Brandon Sanderson
That’s all for the first part of my book haul trilogy. Let me know if you have read any one these and which ones I should get to sooner rather than later. And tell me what you brought this month.
Until next time happy reading!
