February 2016 Book Haul

Hi all! I’m going to share with you all the new books I’ve adopted over this month. Yes it looks like a lot but I will say all but I had a difficult month and book buying is my favourite kind of retail therapy.

Like always this post is going to be mostly pretty pictures so sit back and enjoy the books.

Onto the books!

This month I did an little day internship type thing a Readings bookstore. And to thank me for my time they let me take home some old proof copies. If you live in Melbourne or planning a visit please check them out, they are amazing at what they do!

So that’s it for this book haul. Comment down below and let me know was your first book purchase of the year.

Until next time, happy reading!

January 2016 Book Haul

Hi all! I’m going to share with you all the new books I’ve adopted over this month. Yes it looks like a lot but I will say all but one is secondhand AND my Mama and my boyfriend, Nathan, brought most of them. Being secondhand means that most of these books were $3 or $4.

Like always this post is going to be mostly pretty pictures so sit back and enjoy the books.

Onto the books!

A Mostly Christmas Book Haul

Hi all! It’s raining and yuck outside so I thought this would be the perfect day to share with you all the books I adopted last month. I will split these books into two sections a) Ones I brought for myself early December and b) those I got either for christmas or with christmas money.

You might notice that a few of these books, mostly the non-fiction, share a specific theme. Well that’s because I need to some serious research for my current writing project. Also if you have any book recommendation fitting to this era please let me know!

This post is going to be mostly pretty pictures so sit back and enjoy the books.

BOOKS I GOT EARLY DECEMBER

Now all these poetry pamphlets are one I order a while back but arrived in December

  • 100 Poems Jen Campbell – This is the final collection of the 100 poems Jen wrote in 48 hours to raise money for the Book Bus. You can no longer buy physical copies but if you’re interested you can read all the poems here.
  • Teaching my Mother How to Give Birth by Warsan Shire – I found this poet after the horrid Pairs Attacks as one of her poems when viral. It was beautiful so I knew I had to read more of her work
  • The Exhibit by Lauren Eggert-Crowe

CHRISTMAS BOOKS AND ONES BROUGHT WITH CHRISTMAS MONEY

  • Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder – Thank you to my little brother for getting me this one!
  • Love in a Cold Climate by Nancy Mitford – My mum got of a Blind Date book which is run by an Australian book shop- the middle photos are the clues! Thank you so much Mama! I’m looking forward to this one. I think these are the perfect bookish present and you can even get custom orders made.

November Book Haul – Part 3

Hi all! I’m here with the final part of my November book haul. As mentioned in my previous November Haul posts (part 1 & part 2) these are all used/ex-library books.

This post will be mostly picture as I don’t much about these apart from what the blurb say. I will link their Goodread pages down below as it will describe the books better than I can! I will include who recommended books and interesting facts randomly.

Some of these books are 2nd, 3rd or even 4th in their series but I’m wanting to read the series so am collecting books where I can. Others I’m just trying to collect an author’s published works.

Now onto the books!

November Book Haul – Part 2

Hi all! I back with part 2 of my November book haul. As I mentioned in my first haul post, this haul is the result of my library having one of two book sales. So all books still have the stickers on them as I’m not sure how to get rid of them – if you know comment down below, it will be much appreciated!

Some of these books are 2nd, 3rd or even 4th in their series but sounded interesting enough that I am willing to hunt around for the first book.

On to the books!

November Book Haul – Part 1

Hi again! I’m here with my November book haul. And I can’t believe it is the end of the year all ready – scary stuff. This is part one of what could possibly be a 3 part book haul – obviously I brought a lot of books. The others are the blame of my library for having secondhand/ex-library book sales. I’m not ashamed of the amount of book I got, more proud of the bargains I found (2 boxes of books for $14 each!).

Anyway this will mostly be pretty picture with random reasonings for why I got some of these books.

On to the books! They are listed in no particular order.
