Lit Chat: Twice-Told Tales

Hello!

Here’s part three of Lit Chat. This series was inspired by Lauren from Lauren and the Books over on YouTube and the Lit Chat cards created by BookRiot.

Today’s card is Twice-Told Tales

Do you ever re-read books? Why or why not?

I do love re-reading books, for me there’s something so comforting and cosy about like wrapping yourself up in a fluffily blanket. I haven’t done as much re-reading as I would’ve liked in the past few years but sometimes it can be hard to balance wanting to read all the new books you discover and returning to favourites. But when I was still growing my little library and used to read the book when I brought it—who knew?😂😂😂— I reread books all the time.

Are there any specific titles you return to regularly? What makes you go back to them?

I have a few that I do go back to. Any of P.C. Cast’s Goddess Summoning Series, Sarah J. Maas A Court of Thrones and Roses series—in particular A Court of Mist and Fury because duh 😂— and Sharon Kay Penman’s The Sunne in Splendour. I think I go back to them because they’re comforting and familiar, which is exactly what I need when I’m stressed or feeling overwhelmed.

That’s it for me. Comment down below and let me know if you re-read books? And if so, what’s your favourite books to re-read?

Until next time, happy reading!
