Hello!
I’m here today with another Lit Chat. This series was inspired by Lauren from Lauren and the Books over on YouTube and the Lit Chat cards created by BookRiot.
Today’s card is Matilda
Was reading something you enjoyed as a child? What was your favourite book?
I loved reading a child. I’m so thankful for my family for showing me books. Both my parents are big readers and we had shelves and shelves of book in our living room. My mum read to Dr. Seuss me and my sister every night and then when I was around 5 my dad read the first two Harry Potter books to me.
I remember I had a few favourites as a child. The Dragonkeeper by Carole Wilkinson, The Royal Diaries Series published by Scholaist and The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo.
Have you read it again as an adult? Is it still your favourite?
I haven’t read any of these book since I read them as a kid. Although I did pick up a copy of The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. I might pick it up since next month is Middle Grade March. Fingers crossed it’s still a favourite!
That’s it for me. Comment down below and let me know what is your childhood favourite is.
Until next time, happy reading!
