Hello!
I’m here today with another Lit Chat. This series was inspired by Lauren from Lauren and the Books over on YouTube and the Lit Chat cards created by BookRiot.
Today’s card is Breakfast at Tiffany’s
What is your favourite movie or television series based on a book? What made it a good adaptation?
The White Queen BBC mini series which is based of Philippa Gregory’s Cousins’ War series. I adore this series so much and it got me hooked on Plantagenet history.
This series did a great job of sticking to this history while also breaking down the confusion of who each character is and which side of the war they are on. The costumes and settings were incredible and really suited the time period.
What is your least favourite movie or television series based on a book? What didn’t you like about it?
I would have to say The Golden Compass. I feel like to be able to watch the movie you really need to have read the books and even then it is confusing. I will say the special affects were done really well and the daemons looked awesome.
Hopefully the BBC adaptation does a better job!
That’s it for me. Comment down below and let me know what is your favourite movie or TV adaptation.
Until next time, happy reading!
