Hello,
Today I thought I give a little update my reading challenges and overall stats for the third quarter of the year. Can you believe it is October already! It feels like the year is almost over and I have so many books I still have to read!
This is the third part of this series. I decided to do this because A Year in Review posts are one of my favourite posts to do I thought I would do it on a somewhat regular basis.
Also there are pie charts! Yay for charts!
These stats look at all the books I’ve read so far in 2019, with a little disclaimer that not all the books have been released in 2019.
Reading Challenges
Goodreads
Goal: 52
Read: 105
Around the World in 52 Books:
Goal: 52
Read: 39
A to Z challenge
Goal: 26
Read: 21
To see the listed a prompts and which one’s I’ve crossed off head to my Reading Challenges page.
There wasn’t much progress towards these two challenges and will need to keep that in mind for this last quarter.
I’m pretty lucky that most of the books I’ve read being 5 to 4 stars — 9 of my read books I’ve given 5 stars, 3 have received 4.5 stars and 9 have received 4 stars. My newest lowest rated is Heart of the Pack by Jenny Frame
My average rating is 4 stars.
Here are my 5 star reads from July, August and September!
To change things up my top genre for the third quarter is Fantasy. I have recently been trying to make myself finish off some of the series I have my shelf and most of them are fantasy series.
To break the genres down, I have read 12 romance books, 14 fantasy and 4 historical fiction.
No surprises here that most of the books I’m reading are for intended for an Adult audiences because of the large chuck on romance books I’m reading. Again I would look to get to some more middle grade books just so I’m not saving them all for Middle Grade March.
I read 1 Middle Grade, 9 Young Adult and 19 Adult.
eBooks are still winning with 16 ( 15 ebook and 1 digital ARC) Again I would love to prioritise reading more of the books I have on my shelves.
For the record, I read 5 Hardbacks and 9 Paperbacks.
This quarter it is really close but ultimately First Book is the winner at 11, followed by Sequel at 10 and Standalone at 9
Also for the record, I am still trying to priorities sequels so I’m not in the middle of 10,000 series.
That’s all for me. Comment down below and let me know how you’re reading challenges are going so far and what books have been your favourite so far
Until next time, happy reading!
