A Lie for a Lie (All In #1) by Helena Hunting
Published by: Montlake Romance
Publication date: 15 October 2019
Sometimes I need an escape from the demands, the puck bunnies, and the notoriety that come with being an NHL team captain. I just want to be a normal guy for a few weeks. So when I leave Chicago for some peace and quiet, the last thing I expect is for a gorgeous woman to literally fall into my lap on a flight to Alaska. Even better, she has absolutely no idea who I am.
Lainey is the perfect escape from my life. My plan for seclusion becomes a monthlong sex fest punctuated with domestic bliss. But it ends just as abruptly as it began. When I’m called away on a family emergency, I realize too late that I have no way to contact Lainey.
A year later, a chance encounter throws Lainey and me together again. But I still have a lie hanging over my head, and Lainey’s keeping secrets of her own. With more than lust at stake, the truth may be our game changer.
Why I can’t wait to read this
Some things I’ve discovered about myself this year — I adore romance novels and hockey romance novels are one of my favourite. Who knew? 😂😂😂 I think I’ve seen half of a hockey match.
I’ve read Helena Hunting’s other hockey series, Pucked. She creates wonderful characters and includes plenty of drama and steamy times. There is also a lot of humour in that series.
For what I can tell this series is one of her more serious series but I’m ready for it. It’s set in Alaska and they have a holiday romance where they can escape from their lives and everything they have left unsaid comes back to haunt them when they run into each other a year later.
I cannot wait! I’ve pre-order my copy!
That’s it for me. Comment down below and let me know which books release date you cannot wait for.
Until next time, happy reading!
