Hello,
Wow 2021 has been off to crazy start for me. I got a promotion at work which yaaay for career development but sad face for my reading/blogging/everything else while I learn the ropes.
This is later then normal but I thought I’d share with you my reading starts for the first quarter of 2021. That’s right I am bringing the pie charts back! Yay for charts!
These stats look at all the books Iβve read in January, February and March. While I read them in 2021 not all the books have been released in 2021.

Reading Challenges
Goodreads
Goal: 100
Read: 25
Around the World in 52 Books:
Goal: 52
Read: 17
Romanceopoly
Goal: 39
Read: 3
I am behind on my reading and pretty much everything. I will say even through I am behind on the Romancepoly Sun board, I did complete the 5 challenges left on the Moon Board I was completing in 2020.
To see the listed a prompts and which oneβs Iβve crossed off head to my Reading Challenges page.

At this point in time I think I know my reading taste pretty well and am able to pick out which books I will enjoy. This is evident as most of the books that I’ve read are between 4 and 5 stars. I gave 7 5 stars ratings, 5 received 4.5 stars rating and 8 have received 4 stars.
The lowest rating I gave this quarter is 2.5 starts which went to Before You Ghost by Helena Hunting and Debra Anastasia which just wasn’t my jam.
My average rating is 4.2 stars.

Here are my 5 star reads from January, February and March!

I am still loving romance books. Is anyone surprised?! πππ 60% of the books I’ve read this quarter was romance. My second most read genre is paranormal, which really is the mix of romance and urban fantasy. I did pick up a few fantasy and historical fiction titles which is fantastic since they are my other two favourite genres.
To break the genres down, I have read 15 romance books, 5 paranormal, 1 historical fiction and 5 fantasy books.

No surprises here that I am reading mostly adult books. I would like to get to work YA and Middle Grade titles β like always πππ I am sounding like a broken record here β since it would mean I am getting to some more books from my physical TBR.
I read 1 Middle Grade, 3 Young Adult and 23 Adult.

eBooks are my top format for this quarter (10 ebooks and 2 digital ARCs). I would love to get to more of my ARC since I feel bad for getting behind β it is causing me much anxiety. I am still thinking of doing a TBR jar type thing for my ARCs but I will wait to deploy it since I am feeling pretty slumpy when it comes to read and a TBR just adds extra stress.
I read a total of 13 physical books (11 paperbacks and 2 hardbacks) which I’m pretty happy with. I would love to get to a few more since the number of unread books on my shelve is causes me stress πππ I think I will do a unhaul soon.

I am still very much a series reader which is very much on brand for me. I’ve read 16 series books (6 first books and 10 sequels) compared to 9 standalones.
I am super thrilled! Another quarter where I have read more sequels and first books which means I might finally be finishing series rather than starting more. Fingers and toes crossed that this continues into the next quarter since it goes with my goal to a) finish more series and b) read my own damn books.

Thatβs all for me. Comment down below and let me know how youβre reading challenges are going so far and what books have been your favourite so far
Until next time, happy reading!
