“Anything worth having demands that we fight for it. Even against our own self-doubt.”

I will start by saying that I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. These opinions are my own. Thank you so much to Eliana & Putnam Books for sending a copy my way!

From the outside my life is perfect. Inside, no one can hear me screaming.

Being the only Omega in your friend group who’s single is the worst. Being alone while your friends are happily bonded? Even less fun.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my friends, and I’m happy for them. But nothing erases the No one wants me. Not even the people meant to be my family.

Until them.

A chance meeting throws me in the path of the hottest Alphas I’ve ever seen. They’re powerful, dominant, and entirely intoxicating. And they want me. Not just for a night— they want forever.

It doesn’t feel real. I’m too loud, too much, and too broken. But these Alphas? They’ll stop at nothing to prove me wrong.

Between chasing the biggest break of my career and finally learning what it’s like to be loved, every secret I’ve tried to hide is rising to the surface. Breaking my silence might shatter me, but, for the first time, I know there will be someone to pick up the pieces.

When danger from both present and past threaten everything, I have to remember my new I’m not alone anymore.

For too long, secrets have kept me silent. Now it’s time to find my voice.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve messed up my sleeping pattern for a book, but A Pack for Summer absolutely destroyed it. Once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. I didn’t think I could love this series more than I already did. Then Eliana drops Summer and her pack. I am in love. Seriously, they might be my favourite pack of all time.

Summer has finally opened her Vietnamese bakery, where she can share her culture in the best way she knows how—through food. When her childhood friend, Jae, shows up all grown up and unbelievably attractive with his equally hot brothers in tow. They are renovating the cursed Beaufort pack house and finally selling it, which will close that painful chapter for all of them. She’s determined not to get distracted. Especially when one brother, Mercer, has opened the next location of his viral French patisserie next door. But nothing will keep Summer down, as her bakery becomes the town’s hottest lunch spot. Unless you count a burst pipe that destroyed said bakery. The Beauford brothers are back in Starlight Grove to help their dads. They have the space, so they offered for Summer to move in with them. Also, she can run her bakery through Mercer’s patisserie. A no-strings-attached summer fling is the perfect way to deal with their explosive attraction before the brothers’ head back to their corners of the world. Nothing could go wrong, right?

Summer is a girl after my heart. She’s driven and will do anything for her family and friends and to achieve her dreams. Nothing will take her away from her bakery now that she’s finally been able to open it. It was wonderful seeing her realise that all her hard work means nothing unless you have someone to share it with.

Oh, Lucien, Mercer, Jae, my poor, slightly broken boys! These brothers have been drifting slowly apart since their family unit imploded when their mum left with her scent-matched mate. They’ve come back to Starlight Grove to save their dads from reliving painful memories. Lucien is our gruff businessman alpha. He’s determined to work himself to the bone to ensure that he can protect and provide for those he loves. He also seems to punish himself for not doing more to protect Mercer and Jae from their parent’s painful separation. Mercer is a successful pastry chef and, lowkey, a little bit of an arrogant asshole. His patisserie chain is successful, and he knows it. He’s the beta and feels insecure about it so much so that he’s determined to be successful to prove that he’s worthy. And then we have Jae, our sweet alpha. Honestly, this man had my heart from the moment he entered the scene. He’s a tattooed musician with a heart of gold. He’s dealt with a lot of loss. For work, Jae gets to travel the world. He never stays in one place for too long. I adored all the little moments we see while they are renovating the house, where they learn to become a pack.

The romance is sex-forward, with the feelings coming later. This one is definitely steamier than A Pack for Winter, which I am here for. Summer, Lucien, Mercer and Jae have their forced proximity and ceiling fans to thank for their growing attraction. The fans keep blowing their scents around the house, which increases their attraction. Faced with all that temptation, they can’t help but give in. Summer and the guys have agreed to a fee-use pact, which is all kinds of delicious. Also, we have a moment where Summer dommes Lucien to help him relax and yes, yes, 1000 times yes. We need more of this!

I adore how Eliana Lee celebrates and highlights Asian culture. Summer and her family are Vietnamese. Jae is Korean. I loved the Pham family. Food is 100% their love language. Summer’s parents are constantly trying to feed everyone. There’s also this beautifully painful moment where Summer needs to translate for her parents to make sure they understand what’s happening. You can feel her frustration that her parents don’t understand and that she’s the one to give this news, which is quickly overshadowed by shame and love. Families are complicated, and Eliana doesn’t shy away from showing it.

Coming back to the town of Starlight Grove feels like a warm hug. It’s one of the few small towns in a romance that I enjoyed. This series has one of the best girl groups. I love them all. They have each other’s backs, no questions asked. With Olive, Ivy and Lucy all packed up, they are cheering for Summer and her guys, despite Summer’s protests that she’s not looking for anything serious. Felix seems to be a little less meddling in this series, which, after the last book, our poor matchmaker is probably tired. He seems content to let forced proximity do its thing. When we got his chapter, I was cackling because looks can be deceiving.

And with that, the cozyverse series is over and I am not well. Did I sit there staring at a wall for a while once I finished A Pack for Summer? Yes, yes, I did. Honestly, I’m not ready to leave this world. This is 100% a series I will come back to time and time again. If you love a cosy, small town romance, are a fan of why choose and don’t mind a bit of omegaverse, I implore you! Please, please, please pick up this series!
