Books I’d Like to Get to Before 2018 is Over

Hello,

Today I thought I share with you some of the books I would love to get to before the end of this month—side note: I cannot believe 2018 is pretty much done and dusted! Where does the time go!

Anyway, I’m normally not one for TBRs because apparently I don’t like following reading lists even if they are books I picked out and do want to read. But there is a few books I am desperate to get to.

They are listed in no particular order.

Now I Rise by Kiersten White

NOW I RISE

The sequel to And I Darken we follow Princess Lada as she battles for the Wallachian throne, along with her bother Radu as he dances through the politics and diplomacy of the Ottoman Court.

I love that this series is a gender bent retelling of Vlad the Impaler. And now that the third book is out there is no reason for me not binge these books!

Book of Colours by Robyn Cadwallader

Book of Colours

Robyn Cadwallader’s follow novel to The Anchoress, this story also medieval England and looks at the religious practices. We follow three people’s lives and how they are connected though the creation of a magnificent book, an illuminated manuscript of prayers, a Book of Hours.

I love Cadwallader’s writing style and medieval England is one of my all time favourite eras to read about.

Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco

Escaping from Houdini

The third book in the Stalking Jack The Ripper series, Audrey Rose Wadsworth and her partner-in-crime-investigation, Thomas Cresswell, are en route to New York to help solve another blood-soaked mystery.

I adored the first two book and am interested to see which serial killer lore she’s take on next. I love the mystery elements and the medical knowledge sprinkled throughout.

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

Tower of Dawn

The sixth book in the Throne of Glass series, which moves away from the events of Empire of Storms and looks at what’s been happening to ex king’s guard Chaol Westfall.

I won’t say much more because spoilers but with the final book, Kingdom of Ash being released a month or so ago I would really love to finish this series.

That’s all for me. Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what books you’re wanting to get to before 31st of December.

Until next time,

Happy reading!
